Our Story

It started with a blowout loss in Omaha.

In June of 2023, I loaded up my Cessna 182 with my brother and sister. We flew from Louisiana to Nebraska for the College World Series to watch the LSU Tigers play the Florida Gators in Game 2.

It didn't go well. We lost 24 to 4.

We left the game early to fly back home. We were pretty stung by the loss, and to make matters worse, I had nowhere to put anything. I had a hot coffee, an iPad, and a notepad, but I was stuck juggling all of it on my lap for five hours.

I realized my plane was missing something essential.

When I got back on the ground, I started looking for a console. I searched everywhere but I couldn't find one that checked all the boxes.

I realized that if I wanted the perfect balance of function and fit, I would have to build it myself.

I became obsessed with the functionality. I didn't just want a plastic box to hold stuff. I wanted the utility of a modern vehicle. I wanted cup holders that gripped a Yeti tumbler tight just like the ones in my Ford truck. I wanted rubber inserts that actually locked the drink in place so I never had to worry about spills in choppy air.

Most importantly, I wanted a "Factory Finish." That is why we chose injection molding. It allows us to create a premium unit that handles the heat and looks like it belongs in the aircraft interior.

The Flying Caddy is the result of that obsession. It is the console I wanted for my own plane. It offers secure storage, OEM aesthetics, and a perfect fit.
